Solitude. Soiree!" delves into the myriad emotions, thoughts, experiences, and energy flows encountered through two distinct modes of play. On the left side of the frame, I immerse myself in "The White Door" by Rusty Lake, while on the right, a quartet engages in the board game Catan. By positioning these contrasting scenes side by side, the setup invites viewers to sense the energy and emotional currents of each activity, perhaps feeling an intuitive pull towards one over the other.
This juxtaposition isn't about declaring one form of play superior to the other; rather, it aims to uncover and celebrate the joys and dynamism inherent in both solitary and group engagements. The intention is to appreciate the unique energies and interactions each style of play brings to the fore, encouraging viewers to value both experiences simultaneously.
